Merka — Personal Finance App
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Merka ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. What the App Is
Merka is a personal finance organization tool. It helps you record and track income, expenses, accounts, planned payments, budgets, and goals across multiple currencies.
3. What the App Is Not
- Merka is not a bank.
- Merka is not a financial advisor.
- Merka does not provide investment advice.
- Merka does not provide tax advice.
- Merka does not provide legal advice.
- Merka does not provide credit scoring or credit advice.
Nothing in the App or its outputs should be interpreted as professional financial, investment, tax, or legal guidance. Always consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
4. Accuracy of Data
You are responsible for the accuracy of all data you enter into the App, including account names, balances, transaction amounts, dates, and categories.
The App performs calculations based on the data you provide. These calculations are informational in nature. They are not audited financial statements and are not suitable for tax filings, legal proceedings, loan applications, or any purpose requiring certified financial records.
5. Local Data Storage
All data you enter into the App is stored on your device. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. The App provides a JSON export feature for this purpose.
Oksana Kuskicheva is not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, accidental deletion, software updates, factory resets, or any other cause.
6. No Registration Required
You can use the App without creating an account. If no account is created, no user data is tied to an identity that Oksana Kuskicheva can restore or recover.
7. Premium Features and Subscriptions
The App may offer optional premium features or subscriptions. Details of any paid plan, including pricing, billing cycle, and cancellation terms, will be presented to you before purchase.
If premium features are not yet enabled, payment buttons in the App will inform you that payment processing will be connected at a later date. No charge is made at that time.
Subscriptions, if offered, are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful personal finance management purposes. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or misuse the App.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, code, and design of the App are the property of Oksana Kuskicheva or its licensors. Open-source libraries used in the App retain their respective licenses.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Oksana Kuskicheva is not liable for:
- Any inaccuracies in financial calculations resulting from user-entered data
- Loss of data stored locally on your device
- Financial decisions made based on App outputs
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
11. Changes to the App and Terms
Oksana Kuskicheva reserves the right to update the App and these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published at https://merka.tech/terms and reflected in the App's store listing. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
